Skateboard Knife - Broken Handle

CA$50.00

This piece of broken skateboard as got quite a long story..!

From actual broken skateboards from Le TAZ Skatepark in Montreal where I worked at his inception and for 4 years, those were gathered to create all sorts of crafts: chairs, shoes, guitar picks, pendants, knives…

And so was this one: It was cut into a shoes sole but I haven’t come about to make many of those shoes, high heels out of skate, I only made 3 pairs so far…
Then I used it instead to make a knife, with a fat handle ! And as I make my knives, once the blade is carved down to it’s final thickness I do a bend test, see if it’s strong enough… some break and this one did!

I kept the handle as I love those colors and that skateboard is History to me !

So I turned it into a very tactile piece (as usual)… that’s somewhat of a bird’s skull, a fidgeting piece, to display, as key chain, or to hang as a neck piece !
