Flamed Poplar Knife
This is the most stunning piece of Poplar from our Land I’ve got so far ! Some shockingly strong ‘Flames’.
Those flames can be cause by two things within the Tree: It’s either pressure, the tree collapsing or pushing onto itself (if it encounters a rock in the soil, another tree in the canopy, or bends, falls ! The other possibility is magnetism, as it growth, a strong magnetic change can move the grow rings just enough to form a wave, that, when cut, looks like flames where the wood is denser.
