“Owl Keeper” is an original chainsaw-carved sculpture made from Western Red Cedar personally harvested from my property in the Slocan Valley, British Columbia. Shaped from a single piece of cedar and finished by hand, this piece carries both the raw character of the wood and the presence of a protective figure meant to anchor a space.
The owl has long been associated with perception, intuition, transition, and the ability to see what others miss. Here, those qualities are expressed through a bold, stylized form that blends strength, personality, and a distinctly contemporary totemic language.
